Dr. Viramontes earned his medical degree from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and completed his specialization in Radiology, achieving Board Certification through the Mexican Council of Radiology and Imaging. He holds an additional advanced certification in Interventional Radiology from the same governing body, reflecting his expertise in minimally invasive, image-guided oncologic procedures.

An accomplished academic and researcher, Dr. Viramontes has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications in the fields of radiology and cancer. He also serves as a Professor at the Medical School of Anáhuac University in Cancún, where he contributes to the training of the next generation of physicians while remaining at the forefront of clinical advancements.

At Immunocine, Dr. Viramontes serves as the lead Interventional Radiologist and is responsible for the majority of patient biopsies and image-guided procedures, including complex intratumoral interventions when clinically appropriate. He performs all dendritic cell administrations, a highly specialized procedure requiring precise placement of therapeutic cells in close proximity to functional, draining lymph nodes—an expertise that is critical to optimizing immune activation and clinical outcomes.
