Irmgard von Wobeser holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) and a Master’s degree in Innovation and Knowledge Management from Universidad del Caribe in Cancún. She also holds certifications in Family Therapy from UNAM.

A Mexican psychologist of German origin, Irmgard was born and raised in Mexico City and currently practices in Cancún. With over 42 years of clinical experience, she has worked extensively with individuals, couples, families, and groups, offering compassionate support through life’s most complex challenges.

Irmgard has developed a deep commitment to supporting patients living with serious medical conditions, including cancer. Her approach is shaped by both professional expertise and personal experience—accompanying her late husband through his own illness has given her unique insight, empathy, and emotional presence. She helps patients navigate the emotional impact of illness with a balance of realism and hope, guiding them through stress, grief, interpersonal difficulties, and the search for meaning.

Her bicultural background allows her to be especially sensitive to people from diverse cultural perspectives. Irmgard brings warmth, curiosity, and deep respect to each therapeutic relationship, centering her clients’ values and strengths as they move toward healing and resilience.
