From “Incurable” to In Control: Petri’s Fight Against Colorectal Cancer
An Unexpected Diagnosis
Petri was living a normal, healthy life when a prolonged bout of constipation led him to the emergency room. After a series of tests, doctors gave him a sobering diagnosis: Stage 3C colorectal cancer. It was KRAS-positive — a mutation known for being particularly aggressive — and the cancer had already spread to nearby lymph nodes.
He was immediately placed on Finland’s Gold Standard of Care: radiation, followed by chemotherapy, and eventually major surgery. But after the resection, doctors found cancer at the edge of the removed tissue. That changed everything.
“They started bandying the word incurable,” Petri recalls. “It didn’t mean I’d die immediately, but that mindset shift was huge. I had to explore every option.”
Searching for More
Determined not to accept the new label, Petri began researching advanced treatments beyond traditional care. That led him to Heal Navigator, and eventually to Immunocine.
“When I studied Immunocine’s approach, it just made sense,” he says. “The mechanism of action seemed so plausible — and when I spoke to people in the medical field, they agreed. It’s new, but it could work.”
Immunocine’s treatment builds a personalized immunotherapy using the patient’s own tumor and immune cells. Once created, the treatment is administered via ultrasound guided injection to proximal lymph nodes.
A Rapid Response
Almost immediately after his first treatment, Petri could feel something happening. His immune system was suddenly hyper-focused on the tumor — so much so that it caused a physical blockage in his colon from the inflammatory response.
Instead of panicking, Petri saw it as a sign that his body was doing exactly what it was supposed to:
“The causality felt clear. My body was fighting back — and winning.”
He was quickly treated at a local clinic in Cancun and continued on with Immunocine’s protocol, eventually pairing it with a checkpoint inhibitor called Keytruda to further weaken the cancer’s defenses.
A New Lease on Life
Today, Petri has had three PET scans — all showing no signs of active disease. His bloodwork is clean. His oncologist in Finland is considering declaring him in remission.
“It’s been an amazing turnaround,” Petri says. “I have no pain. I exercise regularly. I’m working, traveling, and living in my dream city. My quality of life is excellent.”
More than the physical benefits, Petri highlights the emotional peace the treatment has brought him:
“My body is now perfectly trained to fight my specific cancer. I don’t live in fear anymore. It’s a really joyful place to be.”
