Revolutionizing Skin Cancer

With Targeted Immunotherapy

There is more to skin cancer than meets the eye. Once melanoma has formed, it fosters a microenvironment for its own growth and often drives itself deep into distant organs, bones, and other parts of the body. Although chemotherapy may work at first, resistance develops quickly.

The Immunocine Cancer Center takes a more flexible approach to skin cancer to combat its aggressive, resilient nature.

An Adaptable Approach

To Skin Cancer

Clinical advances have led to improved outcomes for cancer patients over time. Still, when it comes to adaptability, cells have a detrimental advantage over chemotherapy drugs and cancers may come back with a stronger resistance to treatment even after extended time in remission.

Immunotherapy is leveling the playing field by providing a cancer patient’s immune system with tools to fight back. Melanomas and other forms of skin cancer mask themselves to evade immune surveillance. With immunotherapy, we can now activate its ability to clock them.

Real Results with Skin Cancer

Brock S.

Stage 4 Melanoma

Brock S. discovered Immunocine during one of his darkest moments. After undergoing several mainstream treatments for skin cancer, his tumors had tripled in size and he was diagnosed with Stage 4 Melanoma.

His only option was to take an alternative approach. When he arrived at our facility in Cancún, Mexico in November of 2022, he had over 10 tumors and little faith left in the future. As soon as Brock began our immunotherapy protocol, though, all of that changed. As if by miracle, his tumors began to disappear, his mobility was restored, and his hope began to swell with every milestone— including celebrating his 40th!

We only open our doors when we can deliver hope.

Cancer patients are our top priority, so we only admit those who tick these pivotal boxes for success.

Strong Immunity

To benefit from immunotherapy, a base level of immune function is key.

Solid Neoplasm

Our protocol calls for a biopsy of a tumor by our medical professionals.

Ability to Travel

We administer treatment exclusively in-house at our Cancún facility.

Extended Availability

Our patients must be available for three appointments, two weeks apart.

Smoothing Out the Wrinkles

of Malignant Melanoma

Ease of Metastization

Though each type of skin cancer comes with its own set of challenges, squamous and basal cell carcinomas are typically easy to treat. A majority of patients come to us with melanoma, which can easily metastasize to the liver, lungs, bones, and brain via the circulatory or lymphatic systems.

Genetic Resilience

Melanomas can have high genetic and phenotypic heterogeneity, meaning that different parts of the tumor can display very different genetic mutations and characteristics. Multiple cell subpopulations translate to a higher chance of developing resistance to treatment.

Unlike chemicals, the immune system can attack from a new angle.

Frequently Asked Questions

Immunotherapy unleashes the intelligence of the immune system on the cells of carcinomas, melanomas, and other cancers. It offers a more precise treatment than chemotherapy and other traditional methods.

Skin cancer is often sparked by sun-induced gene mutations. Some of these mutations can confer a growth advantage, allowing malignancy to spread very quickly. When dendritic cell immunotherapy steps in, it kick-starts protective adaptive immunity to thwart this growth spurt.

This is our preliminary checklist for skin cancer immunotherapy:

-An immune system strong enough to attack cancer cells
-An tumor that is accessible and can be biopsied
-Freedom to travel to and from our facility in Cancún

If a candidate fulfills these requirements, we will conduct an extensive review of their medical records at no cost. This can take up to two weeks. If we still feel that the patient is a good fit for our protocol, our concierge team will call them to plan out their Immunocine journey in advance.

Commonly reported side effects of the Immunocine Treatment are mild and flu-like. Aches, fever, fatigue, low appetite, and/or swollen lymph nodes are often an indicator that the immune system is attacking cancer.

Patients with skin cancer may feel slight dermal irritation or discomfort around shrinking melanomas or carcinomas. This too will shrink within a couple of weeks, and we’ll advise on how to manage it in the meantime.

Countless stories like that of Brock S. are cropping up all over the world.

As we work to unravel the complex interplay of features that make melanoma and other skin cancers so common and aggressive, we can sleep sound knowing that immunotherapy is available to help the immune system hone in and adapt. It is predicted that one in five Americans will develop skin cancer before age 70, so a personalized treatment with such high prospects couldn’t have come at a better time.
